The 2023 Virtual Shell Egg Academy (SEA) is an egg production and processing 101 course that focuses on egg quality information and an interactive experience that is geared to employees who work in egg barns and processing plants.
Participants join a Zoom link for about three hours (12-3 pm EST) each day from April 24 - 28, 2023, listen to a variety of presenters from industry, academia and regulatory agencies while also given time to ask questions and interact with fellow classmates.
Virtual SEA offers live Spanish translation as well as coursework translated into Spanish. Those who register to attend the Virtual SEA by April 1 will receive a "SEA Experience Box" prior to the virtual event.
Shell Egg Academy is divided into two courses:
Course 1: Live Production (April 24 - 26)
Course 2: Egg Processing (April 26 - 28)
*You can select either course or select both courses (to enroll in both, please select the appropriate two courses).
NOTE: Both English and a live Spanish translation will be available.
REGISTRATION OPTIONS INCLUDE:
Individual ($750 per course for 1 person) - Allows one person to attend the Virtual SEA.
- Registration includes access to content in both English and Spanish for 6 months after the live class is complete with the option to renew the content for a fee after 6 months.
- Individuals must register by April 1 to receive a "SEA Experience Box" delivered prior to the virtual event.
- Registration fee includes a Proceedings available for download or a printed copy offered for an additional fee.
Company ($1500 flat fee per course) - Allows one company to register an unlimited number of participants from their company to participate in the Virtual SEA.
- Company will receive access to all content to both English and Spanish for 6 months after the live class is complete with the option to renew the content for a fee after 6 months.
- Companies must register their individual employee names by April 1 to receive a "SEA Experience Box" delivered prior to the virtual event. (SEA will work with companies, once registered, to deliver one or more experience boxes, depending on the number of company registrants who will be participating in the actual virtual event in April. To keep costs reasonable for materials and shipping, a maximum number of experience boxes will apply per company registration.)

Academic Rate ($250 per course) - Must be a faculty member of a college or university to qualify for this rate.
- Registration includes access to content in both English and Spanish for 6 months after the live class is complete with the option to renew the content for a fee after 6 months.

- Registration fee includes a Proceedings available for download or a printed copy offered for an additional fee.
Student Rate ($20 per course) - Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student of a college or university who is not currently employed with an egg company to qualify for this rate.
- Registration includes access to content in both English and Spanish for 6 months after the live class is complete with the option to renew the content for a fee after 6 months.
